Today you need to finish all of the Pronoun packet you were given on Friday. In addition to that, you need follow the instructions from Nov. 20 and insert the pronoun notes page I gave you into the Writing and Grammar section of your Junior English notebook on OneNote. You also need to create a page in this section named "Nouns" and compose a page of notes from our study of nouns. You must have the Pronouns and Nouns pages added to your notebook (in the correct place) by next Monday.
For those of you who have still not created your OneNote Junior English notebook or simply have not shared it with me, you have gotten a couple of zeros recently, and you will continue to receive zeros on assignments after Thanksgiving. This is something we are using for the rest of the school year with increasing frequency as time moves on. As stated the first week of school, OneNote is going to be a part of this class. There is NO EXCUSE to not have your notebook set up and shared with me. You have had at least two months to get this figured out. Today we take a quiz over pronouns. If you miss class, it needs taken before or after school on Monday. The packet you were given yesterday was collected, and a new packet was handed out. Do all for Monday. Here is an electronic version of the packet. (It's in two files to print.)
Want 15 free points? Put the OneNote page below in your Junior English notebook, then add a page of notes for Nouns that you create yourself. Yes--I said 15 free points! This is a very limited time offer!
THIS OFFER HAS EXPIRED! So SORRY. Here is a sample page of notes over PRONOUNS that is a good example of how you can keep classroom notes in your OneNote folder. Open, copy, and move it to your Grammar section. Below is a button to a video that shows you how to open this file and put it in your own OneNote notebook for easy access all the time from anywhere. You do need the desktop version of OneNote to do this. Don't worry--it is free to all BGHS students. If you need Office, go to the 11/5 post for instructions. ![]()
Today we hop back into our study of PRONOUNS. We added a couple of definitions to our notes today: Antecedent- the word(s) a pronoun takes the place of Indefinite Pronoun- a pronoun whose antecedent is not certain If you were not in class today, you need to print and complete this packet for homework for tomorrow. ![]()
Today is the big test over the book Monster. I hope you brought a pencil...
Also, your second essay response is due today, and these will be collected after the test. Your character log is due today as well, though it will probably not be graded until this evening. I will NOT accept a handwritten or printout character log, so do not ask. It must be completed in your OneNote notebook according to instructions given awhile back. This is a list of names of people who have correctly shared their OneNote Junior English notebooks with me. Please look over the list and find your name. If you don't see it, then you never shared your notebook with me...or you did not do it correctly, as instructed.

It's not a complicated process, you just have to FOLLOW THE STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS that I gave you two months ago. If you don't know how to share correctly, according to the instructions you were given, then go back to the September 19 post of this blog, open the .pdf file that was attached, and follow the share instructions near the end of that handout. You have had TWO MONTHS to do this--there are no excuses accepted for not having done so and thus receiving a zero for the assignment due today. BGISD Winter Weather & School Info:
